Asus Padfone 2 telah resmi diluncurkan dengan membawa dua versi memori internal yaitu 32GB dan 64GB, sedangkan versi 16GB kemungkinan akan diluncurkan pada saat Natal nanti.
Asus Padfone 2 akan mulai tersedia untuk beberapa negara Eropa (Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Sweden) dan Asia (Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and U.A.E) dan tersedia awal Desember 2012.
Sementara mengenai harganya, Asus Padfone 2 32GB (termasuk tablet 10.0") akan dihargai €799 atau sekitar Rp 10 jutaan, sementara versi 64GB nya dibanderol €899 atau sekitar Rp 11.2 jutaan, sedangkan versi 16GB kemungkinan berada di rentang harga €699 (Rp 8.7 jutaan).

Soal fitur, Asus Padfone memang layaknya sebuah perangkat dengan spesifikasi luar biasa untuk saat ini, sebut saja prosesor quad core S4 Pro APQ8064 berkecepatan 1.5GHz yang berpasangan dengan GPU Adreno 320 serta RAM 2GB, sama seperti yang digunakan LG Optimus G, beberapa hasil benchmark chipset ini paling unggul diantara para pesaingnya bahkan sama-sama quad core sekalipun. Nmun sayangnya ponsel ini masih menggunakan OS Android 4.0x Ice Cream Sandwich, tapi Asus berjanji akan mempersiapkan update Jelly Bean nanti.
Padfone 2 memiliki baterai dengan kapasitas yang besar, yaitu 2.140mAh. Baterai yang ada di tablet Padfone 2 memiliki kapasitas 5.000mAh.
Dari sisi tablet, Padfone 2 hadir dengan layar berukuran 10.1 inci yang mampu mendukung resolusi 1.280 x 800.

Tablet Padfone 2 memiliki bobot 514 gram, sedangkan smarpthone Padfone 2 memiliki bobot 135 gram. Jika digabung, keduanya memiliki bobot 649 gram, sebuah bobot yang bahkan lebih ringan dibandingkan iPad 3.
